Download Vine for Amazon Kindle Fire now its available

- Sunday, June 30 No Comments
After releasing on the Google Play Store recently, the Vine app is now available on Kindle Fire. The app requires Android 4.0 and above, so can work on every version of the Kindle Fire, except for the very first model.

Download Vine for Amazon Kindle Fire now its available

For those who are not aware, Vine is a new social networking service for sharing short, six second videos. It used to be known as the Instagram of videos, until recently when Instagram itself added support for videos. The Vine app for Kindle Fire is the first tablet version of the app, as it is only available on smartphones on iOS and Android. Having said that, the UI is similar to the Play Store version of the app and not really optimized for the big screen as such.
The launch of the Vine app for Kindle Fire comes as a surprise, since the app took over four months to arrive on Android after its iOS debut. With Instagram now quickly becoming the preferred choice for sharing videos, Vine seems to be more than willing to expand to other platforms. Who knows, we may see a Windows Phone version of Vine shortly.

We have obtained the first Android 4.3 test build firmware for the Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505G). We wanted to test out Android 4.3 but didn't had the Google variant of the Galaxy S4 with us, so we ported it to our standard Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) and got some outstanding results.

Google hasn't made Android 4.3 public yet, but it’s good to know that OEMs already have access to the source code. Early access will result in quick software updates and less Android fragmentation. Keep in mind, Android 4.3 is still in development phases and does not have all the features which are yet to be implemented.

News: Google developing gaming console, smartwatch, and more in major Android expansion

- Friday, June 28 No Comments
According to the Wall Street Journal, Google is working on its own Android-powered gaming console and smartwatch — and a replacement for the Nexus Q is also on the way. The report states that Mountain View hopes to ship at least one of the products by this fall, and plans to both design and market them itself. In recent months, Android gaming consoles like Ouya and the GameStick have received a tremendous amount of attention — the Ouya went on sale at retailers just this week — but according to the Journal's sources Google's move to create a console is also based on expectations that Apple will add gaming to a future version of the Apple TV.

News: Google developing gaming console, smartwatch, and more in major Android expansion

Google is currently working on the next iteration of the Android operating system, which will reportedly be better suited for the low-cost smartphones that are taking off in developing counties. Google is said to be developing its own low-cost smartphones — a one-two punch that could prove effective against efforts like Mozilla's Firefox OS. Through its Google X hardware facilities the company is also reportedly working on "next-generation" Android devices separate from the hardware its subsidiary Motorola is developing.

According to the Journal, expanding Android's reach across multiple product types is a big part of Google's plans. HP is named as one hardware partner that is working on a new laptop that will run the next version of Android, internally named "K release" (our own sources have indicated the shipping name will be Key Lime Pie). The Journal reports that the Android-powered laptop is intended to be a direct competitor to Windows computers.

Update Apple iPhone 5 to iOS 7 beta 2 for Developers

- Tuesday, June 25 No Comments
Apple have launched another iOS 7 beta update for developers. The official changelog of the latest release of Apple's upcoming iOS doesn't say much about what has changed under the hood.

Visually, we didn't spot anything different but performance-wise iOS 7 definitely feels snappier now. Still, we noticed the occasional persisitent bugs here and there.
Feature-wise, the new release brings along the redesigned Voice Memos app and the two new, more human-like voice for Siri in English - a male and a female one.
Perhaps the biggest change though is that the iPad (and iPad mini) developers and beta users will be able to join in on the iOS 7 fun now starting with this release.
Unfortunately, we don't have it installed on an iPad (yet), but we managed to snap a few screenshots off an iPhone 5. You can see how the Voice Memos app looks now.

Apple iPhone 5s Leaked Structure Image

While Apple successfully managed to be tightlipped about the iOS 7, it looks like it's not having the same luck keeping the upcoming iPhone 5S a secret. Two new images of what claim to be the next generation iPhone have surfaced and show us what we had already guessed; it's going to be a spec update over the current iPhone 5.

Apple_iPhone_5s_Leaked_NewVijay

The image on the left show the redesigned internals with a new logic board that matches one of the previously leaked images, which gives it some credibility. The 5.92Whr battery is bigger than 5.45Whr battery on the iPhone 5, suggesting improved battery life.
The image on the right shows us the new LED flash next to the camera lens. The shape has changed and now there are two LEDs under the lens. The rest of the design is identical to the iPhone 5. Also, as you can see from the edges, this device shares its affinity to scratches with the iPhone 5, although that may not be the case with the final version.
The iPhone 5S is expected to go on sale later this year. As can be seen from the images above and using the previous iPhones as reference, it is not going to be a completely redesigned product but more of a faster, more refined version of the current iPhone. So it's best to adjust your expectations accordingly.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Game PC Version Delayed

- Friday, June 21 No Comments
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will be launched on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Wii U, however gamers on the PC will have to wait a bit longer. It will not launch on the PC at the same time as consoles, since it has been delayed by a few weeks.

Ubisoft confirmed the delay, though they didn’t say why it was being delayed. Ashraf Ismail, the game’s director says, “We’re working hard on the PC version. It’s one of the main platforms we work on in the office. For our PC fans, don’t worry. The game on PC looks phenomenal.” Well, that sounds encouraging at least.

This happened with Assassin’s Creed 3 as well. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is scheduled to be released in October and will also be compatible with next-gen consoles. So PC gamers will likely see it in November.

Android 5.0 KeyLime Pie Concept & Review

While IOS may be the latest Buzz when it comes to the Fresh User Interface, Android seems to have taken a pause when it comes to the revelation of the much awaited Android 5.0 a.k.a Key Lime Pie which will soon be coming. While there was hardly any visible difference when it comes to Jellybean 4.1 to 4.2.2 apart from few features here and there, high pressure is mounting after Apple redesigned iOS completely with neater looking flat looking UI. Designer Jinesh Shah has released some concept designs which we will be checking out in the due course of this article.

With more and more services are looking for newer redesigned screens, it’s time now for every products and services vertical to come out with the best looking futuristic UI. Be it a Set Top Box or a Tablet or a Smartphone, it’s very important for any application to look great as it contributes a lot when it comes to user adaptability. While most of the users are expecting a Solid answer from Google for Apple, it will be interesting on what Google will be adding in its latest upcoming OS which is Key Lime Pie.

While the much awaited Design Guidelines for Android 5.0 is still in the making and as per the clos sources in Google, Google is trying hard to incorporate newer set of colours rather than using Dark Grey in most of the cases. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie concept designs are shown above which can be referred. We can only hope as of now that Google comes with some of these adoptions in its upcoming new OS. Do let us know your thoughts on these concepts in the comments section below. Google is slated for Key Lime pie release this September 2013 as per some close sources.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review

- Tuesday, June 18 No Comments
Just taking the photo won't do these days - you'll want to edit and share it, then rake in the likes. Except most cameras pretty much bail out at the snapshot. Not the Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom though, a hybrid of a point-and-shoot with 10x optical zoom and a Galaxy S4 mini. This is Samsung's second such attempt after the Galaxy Camera, which was based on the Galaxy S III.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom has full telephony features (unlike the Camera), but it's not the most comfortable phone around. Photography is the full-time job here.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review_NewVijay
A 10x zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) sits in front of a 16MP sensor. At the wide end, the lens is the very wide 24mm in 35mm equivalent, the aperture goes from f/3.1 to f/6.3 and there's a mechanical shutter. The Galaxy S4 zoom has a control ring around the lens like some high-end point-and-shoots do, a xenon flash and LED light.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review_NewVijay

That's just the camera specs, the rest is a full-featured Galaxy S4 mini hardware, including the IR blaster, which can control a projector (the one, most likely, you'd use to show off your photos).

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom System Specification :

General: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz; UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 MHz, HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps; LTE (market dependent), Cat3, 50 Mbps UL, 100 Mbps DL

Form factor: Touchscreen bar phone with optical zoom lens

Dimensions: 125.5 x 63.5 x 15.4 mm, 208 g

Display: 4.25" 16M-color qHD (540 x 960 pixels) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen

CPU: Dual-core Cortex-A9 1.5 GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, Mali-400 GPU

OS: Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)

Memory: 8 GB (5 GB user available) of inbuilt storage, microSD card slot

Still Camera: 16 megapixel auto-focus camera with 10x optical zoom and Optical Image Stabilization; xenon flash and LED light; control lens ring

Video Camera: Full HD (1080p) video recording at 30fps; 720p @ 60fps

Connectivity: Dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0+HS, NFC, MHL-enabled standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS and GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, USB-on-the-go

Battery: 2,330mAh
Misc: TouchWiz 5.0 Nature UX, XviD codec support, built-in accelerometer, multi-touch input, proximity sensor, gyroscope sensor, smart screen

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review_NewVijay

There are some differences between the Galaxy S4 zoom and the mini but, outside the size, those are insignificant. The chipset is powerful enough to shoot 1080p video at 30fps and 720p at 60fps (same as the Galaxy Camera). Samsung has made sure too that the default camera app is the most advanced we've seen yet, and there are a number of helpful image and video editors among other tools.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review_NewVijay

With Android 4.2 you'd be able to install other editors and camera apps too (though these will have to add support for the optical zoom feature). Not to mention all the social networking and other tools for sharing your photos, which can be piped through blazing fast LTE or Wi-Fi, DLNA, MHL or Group Play.
